Turn tables are predominantly used in pallet handling systems where it is necessary to perform a change of direction or alter the orientation of the pallet for loading or unloading purposes. Unlike a 90° transfer a turntable will not change the board orientation of the pallet, when used within a conveyor system. A turntable positioned at the end of a conveyor system can alter the board orientation of a pallet. Essentially a turntable consists of a pallet chain or roller conveyor mounted to a slewing ring. The slewing ring is rotated via a chain powered by an electric motor.

In instances where height range exceeds 1500mm and/or product weight exceeds 150Kg, the use of third party equipment is recommended.
